                       New Immigrants

Picture
Around 1880 the  New Immigration arrived , They came from southern and eastern European states like Poland, Italy, Slovakia, Croatia.  They came from nations with small democratic traditions. They were usually Catholic, uneducated, and had no money.  They went to areas with their home town people, places even started to pop up  like "Little Italy". Americans and old immigrants felt these newcomers didn't fit in to  their way of life, but American businesses loved the immigration because It meant steady and cheap labor.

American government is blaming the new immigrants of overpopulating the nation, and for being the cause to all of the negative events that occurred. In the paper next to Uncle Sam, is a list of places where immigration hit the most. New immigrants began pouring into major cities such as New Orleans, Chicago, and New York. As they flowed into the country, they brought anarchists, socialists, and mafias, all in which began destroying what was a civilized united nation.
